I was hoping for "Theater of Blood." Maybe next time?

Surely "Dr. Phibes Rises Again" will look better here than the rather terrible print used for the MGM Midnite Movies DVD?

I hope that both "Dr Phibes Rises Again" and "The Raven" will look better than the MGM DVD's. If "The Comedy of Terrors" is improved, then it will look fantastic as it looked great on the DVD.

As an addition to the upcoming set, the Price film that I most want on Blu-ray is "Tales of Terror."

I'm waiting for a good sale on this one as I'm still disappointed with the title selection this time. The Raven, Tomb of Ligeia and Dr. Phibes Rises Again I'm fine with but the other 4 while good films are lower priorities for me than at least a dozen other Price films that they could have included.

Mine was supposed to be delivered today. Was 'out for delivery' since 9:13 AM, then the USPS site said they tried to deliver at 6:14 PM but there was no secure location. Site also said a notice was left. Neither statement is true as I was home at 6:14 with my mailbox clearly visible to me and there was no notice left. Lovely.

FYI:

Unfortunately, Comedy of Terrors is still missing the scene where at 49:18
Mr. Rathbone pushes the lid off the coffin ejecting Mr Price and Mr. Lorre to the floor. One second they're sitting on the lid, the next they're on the floor.

The Raven still has the disclaimer that it's the "Musically Edited Version", but I have never completely understood what exactly has been changed.

yep mine showed today as well, so I have the weekend planed to sample some of it, my question is since Sony really doesn't seem interested in releasing some of their older titles themselves but have chosen to go some of the smaller independents, think we could see a volume three ? :D

I'm sure there will be a volume 3 next year but what films will be selected remains to be seen. There should be enough material for at least two more volumes.

Possibly but there are other studios in the mix now.. there could be enough titles but what if TGG will license them under certain conditions among other possibilities. Id love a Price III but next year could be a different ball game ! :)

We have seen some American-International Pictures film library horror titles carried by differing bluray retailers but I think that there is a certain amount of understanding and cooperation among these companies monitored by the current distribution company itself not to intrude upon each others domain in a manner of speaking. Unless a company like Scream Factory should declare outright that it has no definite interest in some of the films specifically in the Vincent Price catalogue.
