Summer's most entertainingly awful show returning tonight at 10/9c!Stephen King himself wrote the season premiere, and also has a cameo appearance in the episode.

I would go so far as to say it's the worst 1-hour drama on TV!

At this point, I'll be watching the first several episodes of season 2, largely because it is on after 24.

If the first several episodes of season 2 nosedive significantly, I'll probably end up dropping the show once 24 ends its season (in two weeks).

You need to watch more TV. :) I'm not saying it's good but there's a lot of bad TV out there.
Hah! Seriously, though. Last summer (just as the first season was ending), a friend and I literally went through all the shows on the broadcast/cable channels (it's a little tricky in Canada). Admittedly neither of us watch every show on TV (obviously), but we literally couldn't think of a single 1-hour drama that was worse.

I don't want to piss on anybody's fun, so I won't waste room bashing the show. I just couldn't resist Adam's bait :)

Just the sort of wacky goings on mixed with subpar character beats I'd come to expect. There was something strangely gratifying about seeing Linda get crushed by the truck, since she was the weakest link of a cast mostly comprised of weak links.Sorry to see Angie take an axe to the face out of nowhere at the end of the episode, but not a huge surprise since she was shooting Brad Bird's Tomorrowland while the second season was shooting. If she ever wants to come back, the dome can just make a new Angie.

Regarding Linda's exit...I know she filmed a pilot in the same studio that was picked up.

Also, on a side note. Did anyone find it odd that everyone was sitting in the diner eating like supplies were no big deal?

Possible Spoiler...

The episode count on IMBD if correct suggests that the two characters that died are around for many more episodes

I enjoyed just about all of it except for the mopey girl Julia fished out of the lake. I hate these kinds of enigmatic characters, who walk around with their blank expressions and deliver a line every so often just to move the plot along. That's bottom of the barrel soap opera stuff.

I know what you mean. Last Summer I called it from the first episode. It's got to be one of the worst shows on TV/Cable period. The kids are so cringe worthy they make many soap actors seem down right Oscar worthy. Seriously, you could get anyone off the street and they would be capable of being as good as those kids are. Must all be related to the cast or crew somehow.

Anyway, it may have been fun for a mini-series, but making it continue on just killed the last drop of any credibility the show had.

Britt Robertson has been really good on other things, especially "Life Unexpected." That being said, they just killed her off. So now I pretty much agree with your statement 100 percent.

In the pantheon of UtD, that was a decent episode. I love magnetic fields that pull aluminum siding off of houses... That pull nails from the kitchen wall, but apparently nowhere else in the house, so no one is perforated. Except for a minor hand issue. More main characters killed straight off! Awesome! The dome now has room for a secluded in a secluded forest off the lake, that us sometimes in Big Jims front yard. I like the non-Euclidean mapping of The Dome. Keeps life interesting. And allows Barbie to jog the whole of it in minutes. Why did the Dome kill Angie? I thought the four hands and the dome were BFFs?Is Big Jim really repentant?

It may be the worst, but it's not the least watchable. Compared to the Agents of Shield (at least the stultifyingly dull first couple episodes) or even the dreary Revolution, Dome can be all kinds of fun.

The first five or six episodes of SHIELD were quite mediocre, no doubt. However, every episode after Winter Soldier was a total home run. I can't recall a show ever doing that big of an about face.
