Just wish they'd give titles like THE STORY OF RUTH, FRANCIS OF ASSISI, BOY ON A DOLPHIN or PRINCE OF PLAYERS a chance. Obviously Fox won't unless there's a remake in the wind.

It really can't be taken as anything but a positive that TT is able to re-license and re-release certain titles due to popular demand. I guess about the only thing that could cause some genuine resentment is if the newer release is priced lower than the initial release, but I doubt that's going to happen.

As for new titles that TT might consider, I've mentioned The Offence before, but to add to that, another (I believe MGM) neglected title I'd like to see is the Lang noir The Woman in the Window.

I wish these guys could get the licenses for "The Plague Dogs" and "Night On The Galactic Railroad". I'd part with forty or fifty bucks a release for those films if it meant that I could finally get decent Blu-ray copies..

I'd prefer to see some films that still haven't seen the light of day on DVD much less blu:

A Certain Smile (1958)
The Deep Blue Sea (1955)
Great Day In The Morning (1956)
Magnificent Matador (1955)
No Down Payment (1957)
Prince Of Players (1955)

and one guilty pleasure that should look stunning in blu ..... Summer Lovers (1982)

Are there any parameters for this request? Are we just talking about Fox, MGM and Sony controlled titles?

No Warner, Paramount or Disney and several of the MGM UA titles that Kino now has access to.

Here is a thought for the most ambitious TT release ever: the Complete Three Stooges shorts on blu-ray. Sony has the high def transfers. I have no idea what TT would have to charge for it.
