Has Criterion lost all rights? Is Playtime the sole Criterion title?
I'm inspired to ask because I've noticed that the 1949 black and white film Jour de Fete is being issued on Blu ray in France. It's unavailable in both USA and Britain. The BFI Blu ray in England contains only the experimental colour version, and the later black and white edit from 1964 which I don't care for.
With this transfer now being available, the time seems right for Criterion to issue a definitive Tati edition!

Expect to see Criterion release a Jacques Tati box set before the end of the year. Studio Canal are releasing one in the UK next month.

Saw the Studio Canal box set info and since i have a all region player i am tempted but i already have Playtime and a region B of M. Hulot's Holiday which looks so good on blu-ray so i will wait alittle long for Criterion to release more from Tati.

All Tati is currently out of print, including Playtime. They at one point had M Hulot's Holiday, Mon Oncle and Trafic on DVD, on LD they released Jour De Fete and Parade as well.

Seems like all or most should be coming by years end as Yami noted.
