So, I'm now finding myself at need of doing a lot of filming.. I had looked at the AX camera (4K) but decided that as a first generation option, I would go with the 1080P option in the same body for now.

I'm pretty happy with it, though I'm looking for better mounts, add on microphones and a videostreamer. But it will still be a work in progress.

I am looking at ordering today the Sony SLT A58. After looking at several still DSLR, it appears to be one of the better bang for the buck, though I'm open to options.

The only thing I suggest(as hard to go against a basic Minolta) is looking for a used 77...as it also has the OLED viewfinder.
The 77 is also built to be used in inclement weather.

I imagine there are some people selling out there anticipating the 68/78.

The camera shots off of this in camera mode are surprisingly good.
