John Garfield 6 Warner titles new to DVD this month (1 Viewer)

According to Movies Unlimited coming attractions,,,,Warner Archives will be releasing 6 previously unreleased John Garfield titles,,,,,,,thus finishing up all of Garfield's Warner titles but Sea Wolf which Warner is still trying to get all the elements to restore it to its' original length. These titles will probably be available on June 10th on the Archives...about the 20th from M.U.

It is along withEast Of The RiverFlowing GoldBlackwell's IslandDust Be My DestinySaturdays Children It is great that this fine actor is so well represented from Warner's.

The Warner Archive site has zero releases or pre-orders today -- first time I recall seeing this on a non-holiday.

Either their site is down... or.... :wacko:

Camps: Pre-orders are back up. It usually takes until Tuesday afternoon before the New Releases are listed under thatheading, but they're all there if you just click on the website.

Does Warner's indicate whether a film is remastered anymore. They used to include this notification on the cover as well as in the annoucements.

I think all of their releases now go through MPI/Motion PIcture Imaging that works on getting these titles ready for release including those scheduled for BD release like House of Wax and East of Eden.

They were asked about this on Facebook some time back. They indicated that they have released all of their (acceptable quality) pre-existing masters through WAC already, so now everything that is released is being remastered. Taking that into account, they felt it no longer necessary to have the 'Remastered' banner on the artwork.

The best idea is to email Movies Unlimited and ask to be put on their notification list. That way, they'll send you an email every few days itemising all new discs and also including a few articles about movies.
