Ron,

Buy this one, a great western that's mainly underrated today. I think it's Audie Murphy's best acting performance as Lancaster's brother.

Yeah, I bought five of those Kino releases you posted today. However, this is the one that I've been waiting for a long time to see in 1080p.

Audrey Hepburn fell off her horse during the making of this film and cracked some vertebrae in her spine. Obviously, she healed, but you can see the vertebrae clearly when she wears that ball gown four years later in My Fair Lady.

I just got through viewing this Kino BD release. It's by far the best presentation of this fine western, I've ever viewed. A job well done by Kino as I'm extremely happy with this BD release of one of my favorite westerns from my youth.

So glad you commented on it. A review copy was requested but didn't arrive.

This was my first Kino title and for some reason I thought the packaging would include a slipcover to really show off the cover art. Oh well, no biggie.

It's not pristine like a Sony nor Warner release, but it's pretty good. I would give it a 4 based on a 1-5 scale with 5 the best. There are a couple of scenes in which John Saxon's character is chasing Joseph Wiseman's character on horseback that the face of Wiseman becomes out of focus.

You know how to pick 'em, Crawdaddy.
Wow. What did I just watch?
Absolutely one of the best westerns I have had the pleasure of watching.
Loved this film!
From the mysterious old man with the long blade to being holed up in a house
with a gang of Indians attacking from all sides. From start to finish this film rocks!
...and Burt Lancaster. He has become such a favorite actor of mine.
Thank you, Crawdaddy, for recommending this. Great two hours in front of my
display this morning watching this film.
Looking forward to discovering Elmer Gantry next.
