The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Hi Mike. What's up with Zoolander?
Tino

There are several titles this week that have a 6/3 release date, but for some strange reason when you click on the item at Amazon, you get the following without any pricing:

I wouldn't be surprise if those six titles are getting revised release dates.

Something appears to be going on with Warner and Amazon, not unlike their current dispute with James Patterson's publisher.

That's what I think it is too. I could see the catalog titles getting bumped but with new seasons of Falling Skies and True Blood starting up soon, it's extremely unlikely that they're moving the date on those sets.

The price is higher than I'd like but I'll probably pick up True Blood this week. Assuming I can find it. :)

Thanks, Mike, for getting that link to Robocop in the listings. I know I played it pretty close to deadline, but I wanted to try to get the review up as soon as I could.

Fox/MGM got me their two new release titles early (always surprised and grateful when that happens), but their vault title releases for the week that I'm slated to do (The Birdcage, Kissing Jessica Stein, The Ringer, Man with No Name trilogy) are still missing in action. So those reviews are still to come.

Thanks for the prices.

Most likely the Superman and Batman discs if I can find them...and Birdcage, too, while I'm at the store. We'll see, though...vacation has been planned and there's a lot of expenses coming up in the next few months.

I'm beginning to think there must be a dispute between Warner and Amazon. Either that or there are production delays that only Amazon seems to be privy to.

There is definitely a major problem between Warner and Amazon!

Titles like True Detective, The Time Machine, Point Blank and Tightrope have the same message on each of my orders.

All of the Warner releases have the same message on each title's page. Just access the preorder release schedule below and click on the Warner titles.

Amazon has been notorious for pulling this tactic lately in markets where they have become the dominant player. Another reason to take advantage of Mike's hard work and utilize the best deals at brick & mortar stores.Because when they brick & mortar stores are gone, they'll be nobody Amazon has to price match.

I posted this in another thread but it fits here too:

Looks like Amazon flinched because they've got the titles that come out tomorrow have magically become available. It seems like they're still trying to punish Warners because the discount is only about 20% off or less on Alexander, The Nutty Professor, The Outsiders and Zoolander, they're only matching Best Buy's price on True Blood (rather than Target's price which is $5 lower) and their price on Falling Skies is $3 more than BB's price.

They might not be interested in a price match this week since customers may have already gone elsewhere due to the titles being unavailable on Amazon?

They did end up price matching on Breaking Bad, Falling Skies and True Blood.

I'm still seeing $39.96 for True Blood at Amazon (matches Best Buy, but Target is still lower). If they come down to match Target, I'll make my purchase.

Interesting that Amazon has the blu ray listed, but is still not offering the DVD version.
