Well here we are again with one of those early 1980s "eye-candy-for-guys" flicks which along with such gems as Private School, Wild Life and The Hollywood Knights are designed to totally destroy any Gentleman's self-respect, especially when face to face with incredibly sexy & gorgeous girls.
The Beach Girls (1982) is definitely one of those movies. The plot, if one could call it that, was the adventures of the three main characters, all girls of course, Ducky (Jeana Tomasino), Ginger (Val Kline) and Sarah (Debra Blee) and basically the girls throwing one wild party after another.
From the guys, included was Scott (James Daughton of Animal House fame) and Uncle Carl (Adam Roarke). Kinda funny that early in the film, Uncle Carl told the two girls (friends of his niece, Sarah) that they'd have to leave...and ends up with both of them in one wild party.
Actually this movie has quite a bit of similarity with the 1979 sex-comedy flick Malibu Beach. No Dugan Hicks though.
Oh and there was a "offended" older lady who always seems to encounter the girls in flagrant delecte, only to get high herself with her husband and join in the party. I always wonder if she was the same actress who played the "Viking Lady" on one of the Lost In Space episodes?
Excerpt from Wikipedia:
"Two college girls, Ducky and Ginger, meet their naive friend, Sarah, at a Southern California beach house. The house belongs to Sarah's uncle and to their luck has allowed them to use his house for the summer while he is gone. Soon after Ducky and Ginger arrive, the two plan the first of many wild parties, but not without some resistance from Sarah. The two continue the plans for more partying including inviting assorted misfits, delivery persons, and people just passing by. Eventually, Sarah's resistance fades and she joins in on the wild parties."
Anyway if you're in the mood for a 80s flick devoid of any depth but just plain fun to watch (especially if you're a guy), then this movie will take you back.
Oh and the best part, its now out on Blu.
