The WARLORD is a very nice historical adventure dramatizing the uncommon intelligence, integrity, brutality, difficulties and injustice of the Middle Ages. Starring Charleston Heston, Richard Boone, Guy Stockwell and Rosemary Forsyth.

The Blu-ray was made from a brand new high-definition transfer. The colors are beautiful with lots of detail displaying at times a 3 dimensional look showing great depth. The Blu-ray is a big improvement over the DVD which was very good. The only bad information to report, and it is not all that bad, is the Blu-ray is REGION LOCKED "B".

Included is a very nice 28 page booklet including production pictures and words written by Charleton Heston and critic Michael Brooke.

Video: 1080P/24
Audio: English LCPM Stereo
Distributor: Eureka
Region-Code "B"

Yeah, it's a great looking Blu-ray (but I don't think it's stereo). I thought Universal would just use the same (I'm sure) HD master that they used for the DVD, but looking at the different colours in the caps over at dvdbeaver it looks like it's a brand new HD master. It's a long time favourite of mine, & I never thought I'd see it on Blu-ray. I hope a company in the States licenses it for release in America for its American fans.

The beginning of the film has always had a rather murky, hazy look. While not completely clear now, it's much better on the new BD.
