Bird lovers, help me identify this chirp please (1 Viewer)

I hear at 2secs. Its not a bird I heard around my area. Have you tried looking for it and using camera on zoom to take a picture?

I started to think and tried Google search. Bird sound database USA. With so many thousands least I can do is help with link that as some bird species sounds. At least its something to start with?

Also it would help more as to what state and county you live in as some birds might stick to certain locations. Oh I see you in "Navesink" New Jersey. Well that would narrow done how many birds would come to the area during certain time in year as others fly off for hibernation or what have you, and others stick around.

Just loop the sound of the bird you heard in your head and play with link to see if you can't find a match to the calling sound of the bird you heard?

I have played most of the bird chirps on the link and in one of the recoded sounds I hear part of sound that I can hear in the video, so not sure if its "Common Yellowthroat (wichity-wichity-wichity)"?

Found another link but not found a +90% probability. Guess have to keep on bird watching and listening?

I wonder if there's a database were you can had the recoded sound and the database find the bird frequency and lists the species.

I needn't had to play the video again I can hear that bird sound, as I must have played the video at least 6 or more times yesterday afternoon, lol.

Need get a picture of the bird as well. You have a camera as well go walk about the trees and hope you hear the bird again with same chirps and get a picture, Something tells me the bird is hand size as its not, Russell Crow, and its not Steven Seagull, so it must be a species that has fairly exotic coloured feathers.

I've tried to spot it for 6 months.

6 months and its still eluding you. Sound travels a distance and with so many other birds in a tree its hard to single each of them out down to the one bird,

Binoculars also so you can swoop over the trees and when your hear that specific tone and zero in on the bird and see he/she chirping you'll know what type of bird,

Oh yeah we have tons of morning doves in NJ. True story: For over 40 years I thought Morning Doves coos were OWLs. One day I just walked out of my house and one was sitting on the roof and I slapped my head listening to it knowing I was a dumbass.

Partial success! The response is definitely a Prairie Warbler! We think now it might be a male at the beginning and the female responding.
