5.1 Channel output in Hometheater from HD Setup box (1 Viewer)

I would appreciate if someone can provide me the solution for this.

I have Sony Hometheater (Model NOAV-TZ215) it doesnt have S/P DIF port or any other audio port other than RCA and HDMI for audio and video.It splitting up the 5.1 channel audio only when playing through hometheater DVD.

I have newly purchased HD DTH which having a HDMI port, S/P DIF port and RCA ports in it. I wanted 5.1 channel audio output from when connecting from setup box to hometheater. I know RCA ports will carry only analog signal which will never give 5.1 channel output.

I dont have anyother option other than RCA jack and HDMI port in DVD. Please provide me some solution . Suggestion on convertors also welcome.

There is no way to get a surround signal into that Sony.

Next time around I highly recommend you don't purchase a HTiB, they have limited connection and upgrade options.

Al is correct. You can't do what you want with that Sony system.

May be am wrong in purchasing the Sony Hometheater with few options . Thank you Anderson and Jason for your reply.
