I wonder if it's going to // "dammit, that Bauer guy's gone rogue again" // be the worst day of his life

I wonder if the suits will question Jack's motives and patriotism and think he's a traitor.

I wonder if Kim will find herself in a sticky situation. Cougars, anyone? :P

(I don't think she's actually in this one, thankfully - unless someone's heard something different)

^ I have no clue if Kim will show up at some point but assuming that Jack works out his fugitive status, I'm hoping we get to see him make a phone call to Kim. Not that she's my favorite character but since she's his only living close family member, I'd like to see the poor SOB get to talk to his daughter again and have some happiness.

I for one, am looking forward to seeing what goodies his "+12 Satchel of Holding" has in store for him this time around.

It'll be good to see Jack in action again. Glad it's a shorter season, though. I think that will work out better.

What we know for sure so far is Chloe has gone full rogue and is working for a hacker type activist group that publishes government secrets they think are hurting its citizens.

Jack is very much still a fugitive and will be most of the series

Yavonne Strahovski from Chuck will be a lead FBI agent in pursuit of Jack that has been assigned to hunt him down no matter what. She doesn't play by the book, much like Jack, to get her subject.

Kim Raver will return as Jack's former love interest. She says in EW she still has a deep love for Jack even though she is married now and Jack was the one true love for her regardless.

EW hinted at the fact there may be more to the Jack and Chloe angle with a possible more than just friends at some point. She is more like Jack now and both grown ups that can share more than with anyone else they know.

That's about it for what has been published and known to this point.

Travis, thanks for the reminder. With Dish you can't program things for the DVR until they show up on the schedule, about a week before they're shown. Got a couple more summer series I want to catch, just need to be around to program them at the right time.

Thanks again, looking forward to this.

As a hardcore fan of the show for most of its eight seasons, I am greatly anticipating its return in this new abbreviated format. That can't do anything but help it. Looking forward to Monday's premiere.

Can't wait!

Rewatched seasons 1-5 in anticipation -- realized last week as I was wrapping up #5 that I wasn't gonna make it through rewatches of all the seasons in time, but at least I got to see my favorite one.

Psyched!

But its only Thursday. You have three days left - Bauer-wise and calendar-wise.

I don't see a problem. Jack wouldn't let other things get in the way.

Unfortunately work has other ideas (I work Thurs-Sun) about me parking myself in front of the TV all weekend. But there's a decent chance I'll be so psyched after the premiere that I have to dive into my next season anyway.

Other than the financial rewards, it must really suck to be Kiefer Sutherland. Stereo-typed for life. No matter what he tries to do, we'll always see "Jack Bauer" in his performance.

He is probably getting some pretty hefty paychecks, but he's still very limited with what he can do in the future.Of course I'm looking forward to this new season. Probably record everything then watch it in one big blitz over a weekend.

As someone who soured on the series during around season 5, I will certainly check it out, if for no other reason than to see what Jack's been up to for the past 5 years. For what it's worth, I started saying around season 4 that this series would benefit from being cut down to 12 "2 hour" episodes.
