I have good-quality Hong Kong DVDs of the two best of this group, WHEN TAEKWONDO STRIKES and BROKEN OATH, and lesser-quality discs of the other four. Of the other four, THE TOURNAMENT is the best, one of Angela's most underrated films. If these discs are significantly better quality than the copies I already have, this set might be worth getting for $29.99. But Angela was definitely the best female kung fu star of the '70s and TAEKWONDO and BROKEN OATH are among the ten or 15 best kung fu films I've ever seen.

Here she is fighting Sammo Hung in TAEKWONDO:

Here she is, masquerading as a male kickboxer in Thailand in THE TOURNAMENT:

And here she is in all her fury in BROKEN OATH:

For me, and perhaps for other James Bond fans, this will be worth it just for getting STONER with the optional English dub track all the way through (I have a Hong Kong import disc where the dub ends once George Lazenby leaves Australia, early in the story), and finally getting to see QUEEN'S RANSOM. The rest is gravy, and I've been wanting to see some of Mao's better flicks for some time now.

On the subject of Lazenby, here's hoping this means a nice U.S. edition of THE MAN FROM HONG KONG (1976, a.k.a. THE DRAGON FLIES), either on DVD or Blu, is in the cards from Shout, thanks to this Golden Harvest/Fortune Star licensing deal.

Can anyone with this set comment on the quality of the presentation of the films?
