I use Shazam about once a year, maybe. So this is of negligible interest to me.

My wish list is about the same from the past year or two:

Fix quirks, particularly the one that drives me batty: iOS forgets what audio player was last used after a period of inactivity. A wholly stupid behavior. Pause a podcast. Come back an hour later. Toggle play with the headphone button, and a random song starts up in the Music app.

Do something with the calendar. I cannot believe that Apple employees use the iOS calendar professionally. It has basic design weaknesses that make it suffer even with my modest home use. Please, Apple, pay someone lots of money and use the great design that Palm / WebOS cooked up four years ago.

Inter-app communication for third-party developers.

No I'm saying that's what Apple SHOULD DO.  'Siri, what song is playing?'

How brilliant would that be?

I'd use it more if it worked in noisy places like restaurants.

Want I want, for Genius lists, is to ask Siri, *why* are you playing this? (Why do my Disney soundtracks get mixed into the adult pop / alt list? )

Nice take on pipes. I've not seen this promise fulfilled on the desktop, except for the unix command line. But I like the idea. And iOS would benefit from inter-app communication.

I agree as well. A nearly exhaustive look at limitations and future desires. This little what grabbed me, and told me the author was paying attention to the mundane things :
Add contacts to groups. If you want to add a contact to an existing group on iOS, you have to get a Mac and do it in the Contacts app for OS X. That doesn’t sound like a post-PC feature.

That's bugged since 2010.

Inexplicably, he missed commenting on the calendar views. I can't figure out the dots to indicate a day has a meeting. It just makes it so every day has a dot...and so a dot is a standard and meaningless graphic on my iOS calendar.

I know a lot of people who THINK they want this, I'm not so sure it's a good idea.  I love the simplicity of forced solo apps:

I hope iOS 8 has new inter-app linkages. I believe that will lead to new apps and experiences.

Multi-tasking: not a priority to me. But I'm hopeful and optimistic for it.
