I remember watching this show with the family on Saturday nights in Britain. However I have never seen it again since then. Is there a reason why it has not seen a DVD release? Thanks.

Personally, I like the show. I was able to pick up a bunch of them when they ran in the 80s on some satellite channel in the UK called Galaxy. Its a blatant copy of I Love Lucy with a much prettier actress in Debbie Reynolds. As for why it hasn't come out, its a one-season show that's 45 years old which has never been re-aired in the United States. I would say that's a pretty good reason. That and the fact that Debbie herself is not very fond of the show.

hi neil, does debbie have ownership interests in it ?
I believe she does have a partial ownership in the series. She had signed on for two years with a stipulation that there be no cigarette advertising and when NBC reneged on that deal, she pulled the plug after one season.

That's true- she amazingly stuck to her guns. Ironically, a year later the FCC got rid of cigarette advertising, and if Debbie had known beforehand how fragile her finances really were (fleeced by husband a la Doris Day-read her memoirs), she would've stayed on TV to earn some revenue. I remember watching the show as a kid, so I'd love to see it again.

It sounds like a great show that would be worth a pickup for one season. It would fit in well with the kind of stuff MPI puts out.
