I have a 31' by 15.5' with 9’ ceilings in a dedicated room for a theatre. Main use will be for movies. The seating will be 3 rows at 12’, 16’, and 19’ from screen. (behind that I’m putting in a bar/candy/popcorn counter) I’m budgeting $7k for Speakers, Sub-woofers, and six butt shakers. I can go as high as $10K (adding in the receiver(s) as well)

1st part I guess is should I go with a 7-2 system? Then the hard part how should I spend my money? Specifics brands and models on what you would do if you were me would be great!

Thanks in advance!

There is no .2. There is a .1 that can be split to 1, 2 or even 12 subs but it is still .1.

My ears aren't the same as yours. Can I also choose the car that you drive? Speakers are a very personal decision.

Tactile transducers seem fake to me or at least the ones I've "felt". Get enough subwoofer and you will feel it.

What are your goals? Accurate reproduction of sound at reference levels down to 10hz? Just a place to hang with the guys and enjoy the game? Can you go DIY? Because you can do something like the picture if you build your speakers and still be way under budget.

Hell, that's Damn near as impressive as some of the theatre pics at Wilson. My fav pic there is the one where all the amps are sitting on the floor. An easy 100k in that pic.
