I am not sure how many of you still watch this show. It has really become a parody of itself. It is good for a laugh. I was wondering if anyone notices during the ending when he is announcing the loser for the week, the flashing lines at the top of the screen. It is only during this last scene and its every time. Last year too. I remember something similar on one of my local broadcast when we were going thru the digital conversion. Other than Hell's Kitchen, I have never seen this on a network broadcast. Does anyone know what causes it or why it's just the last scene?

Your first three sentences say it all. I gave up on this show two years ago. So, so tired of Gordon Ramsay and this was by far the worst of his shows.
I'll try the next episode just for some laughs and see if I notice the same problem.

Up here in Canada, that happens all the time on shows (like 75%) where the next show is localized to a local affiliate, or it's local news, etc. Since many of the shows from your big American networks are shown on Canadian affiliates (with Canadian commercials), the last scene of a show will be shown in poorer quality, with the digital artifacts you described at the top of the screen. Then the show quickly transitions into the next show--it's like they queue up the next localized show (news, or otherwise), and show the final sequence of the current show on some computer file or other delay format that degrades the quality. I try to avoid the Canadian channels, and stick to the east coast feed which is usually doesn't switch over.

Saw no more response to this, but a funny thing. This happens on Ramsey's other show Kitchen Nightmares also. It starts in the last segment, directly after the last commercial break. To describe what I see, at the very top of the screen, there are these broken white lines sliding back and forth. It is there until they role the credits, then it stops. I also noticed it on Master Chef last year. Anybody else see this? It is quite obvious. Something to do with Ramsey's production company I'm sure, but I have no idea what it is for. I suppose it could be a local thing, but only on a Ramsey show?
