There's also three new regular Pioneers, the 824, 1024 and 1124 (same as the VSX-80). The 1124 for $599 msrp looks pretty good too.

I knew HDMI Zone 2 was going under a grand this year. But didn't expect $700.True test if 2.0 brings universal CEC and ARC. So that both quit being a pain in the ass.

The Sabre Dacs are also a surprise at $599, if they make anywhere near as big of a difference in receivers as they did in Oppo's BR players.

I'm surprised Onkyo and Yamaha are both "omitting" calling it HDMI 2.0.

Both are simply calling it Ultra 4K, with Onkyo actually mentioning 60fps.

Future trend? Just mentioning what the HDMI is capable of...thinking "being numbered" is confusing?

Granted...so far, the only Onkyo are the 535/636 and Yamaha with the 377(which costs less than the prior 375).

After making a bit stink that their new high-end Pre/Pro (XMC-1) would be hdmi 2.0, and seeing that last comment, I noticed Emotiva is now just referring to it as 3gb hdmi.
