Ron, at that price, you're getting no less than EIGHT separately-filmed full-fledged R&H/Fox theatrical musicals in a single box set, as both "State Fair"(1945 & 1962) and "Oklahoma!"(1955/Todd-AO & Cinemascope)were BOTH FILMED TWICE!!! Are you planning on getting this??? Price works out to under $18 per title by that reckoning as the contents would include:
"State Fair"(1945)
"Oklahoma!"(1955/Todd-AO & Cinemascope)
"The King & I"(1956/Cinemascope)
"Carousel"(1956/Cinemascope)
"South Pacific"(1958/Todd-AO)
"State Fair"(1962/Cinemascope)
"The Sound Of Music"(1965/Todd-AO)
Considering that RAH has already said in another thread regarding this release that the 4k restoration costs for this project for Fox and the R&H Estate were prohibitively expensive, I think this box set's contents plus bonus features carried over from the previous DVD box set would be a STEAL at the current price!!!

Are we sure all of those titles will be included in this box set?

That might be a movie program or ad.
That's the movie program, all right, at least one of them I'm lucky to have that one in my collection but I've seen another with a red background that pops up on ebay from time to time. And thank you, Ron, what great news! I'll be using that link directly.

The SOUTH PACIFIC disc. Is it a restored original Roadshow version or the already available shortened blu-ray? Also, has the lip sync problems been corrected?

I was kind of hoping that Fox would have been able to include Universal's FLOWER DRUM SONG in this set since it's part of the R&H holdings. I'm very fond of that film and hope that somehow it gets a blu-ray eventually. Fingers crossed.

I believe it is just a repackage of the 2 disc Blu-ray so both versions will be included as will the extras. Same with the SOUND OF MUSIC.

Being as it's Universal, it's okay to cross your fingers. Just don't hold your breath (unless, of course, your wardrobe goes with blue! :) ).

Did they even ask Universal? They were able to get Blazing Saddles from Warner to include in the Mel Brooks Collection, but that disc had already been released by that time.

I actually preordered this to lock in the price....

...but unsure I will keep the preorder.

I already own Sound of Music and South Pacific on Blu-ray.

I understand the savings I am getting with this set, but wondering
if I am better off just waiting for the single releases sometime down
the road.

Since, I already own Sound of Music and South Pacific, I can wait on the single releases as there are only two must own titles left for me. They are Oklahoma and The King and I. For an investment of $140, I can use those funds to buy other must have titles while I wait on the single releases.

I was kinda hoping they would have included RAH 's live version of Cinderella featuring a young Lesley Anne Warren but not to be. I'd see Carousel just to see Shirley Jones in her pre-Partridge family days.

The live version was with Julie Andrews in the late 50's. Lesley Ann Warren did the tape 60's version. Both are or were out on DVD but not sure the quality would lend its self to Blu of either production.
