"A Man Called Peter " with Richard Todd as Peter Marshall, and Jean Peters.

Which may be OOP, but I own a pressed DVD of this film.

Not sure, hope for the best, but at least they are official releases and not bootlegs :)

Nice to see Fox Archives up and running . All the above are up for order on Amazon with the Mike Hammer movie I the Jury starring Armand Assante .Which claims to be 16:9 letterbox . Hand of Death and Day Mars Invaded Earth are also listed as 16:9 .

Hard to know if Fox has a widescreen print of HAND OF DEATH, but we'll find out soon enough.

The Maury Dexter/Lippert/Fox title I want to see is the rare 1962 noir WOMANHUNT, which is about a detective searching for a missing woman in San Francisco's Chinatown.

Both HAND OF DEATH and THE DAY MARS INVADED EARTH are presented in their 2:35-1 original aspect ratios, and both prints look better than the Fox Movie Channel prints. I'm not certain if the MODs are anamorphic or not.

I do hope Justine is done properly. The cinematographer was Leon Shamroy.

Sadly the Amazon listing says-

Presented in 4:3 pan and scan using the highest quality source material available. If true this is bad bad news.

At this point we must not expect anything different from Fox. Whoever is in charge of this program can not be a true movie lover and neither can the folks who are doing the mastering. If they are they must be under some kind of mind control to continue to put out movies in this way. I wonder if the DGA cares enough to make a complaint?  I understand that the sales for these movies can't be great but if you are going to put them out how much more expense is it to do the right thing? it at least builds faith and good will in your product. That has count for something. The folks working on these must know they are doing this incorrectly but they keep on doing it. I am sure they are all nice people who have families who love them but personally at this point I'm hoping when their time comes they are fated to sit in the worst seat in the screening room of eternity. Really folks you should be ashamed and if there was justice you would be banished from ever working in the movie business again. Shame!

Justine was released in the UK in a 4x3 letterbox format but the quality was inferior I've heard. I've not seen it myself. Amazon listings are often incorrect so although I'm not holding my breath, I'll wait to hear/read from someone who's actually seen the disc.
