The great 1975 tv movie is finally coming to DVD (never even made it to VHS in the states) on May 13 by a company called New Video Group.

I haven't seen this in nearly 40 years. Hopefully its as good as I remember it.

Who owns this? I have never heard of the company and that makes me suspicious.

I have several dvds from this company, but they're all documentaries. It's a legit company and the quality of the discs is very good, but I don't know how they got this release from Paramount. Hopefully, it's a quality release with the full European cut of the film (not that it's that different, but just a tad more violence and blood and a touch more teased nudity) which played on some cable channels a few years back. That mastering looked and sounded great. I'm cautiously optimistic about this, as it's an excellent film that deserves to be released on home video.

Amazon listing shows the run time as 100 minutes. ANyone know if that means it is COMPLETE??

I remember watching this when it came out (I was 10ish) because I loved Bewitched. Elizabeth scared the crap out of me in this movie!!!!!!!

100 minutes must be the same running time as the standard American version. What about the European version? Without PAL speed-up, what's the total running time of that?

I wouldnt trust the runtime posted on Amazon yet.
The European version was a theatrical release, so its runtime should be based on the film itself, not on a PAL conversion for TV. But none of this might matter if it's really a bootleg- same artwork on this seller site:

Hmmm... now lists the release date as August 2015. I think it's safe to say this won't be happening anytime soon. :(

Hope I have this correct (and that this is the correct thread about The Legend of Lizzie Borden, as there was only one thread search result with 'Lizzie Borden' in the thread title in the TV on DVD and Blu-ray folder), but Amazon.com have a new release date for the US DVD of The Legend of Lizzie Borden, Tuesday 7th October this year.

?? That link took me to an eBay page of Borden videos. Weird.

But here's hoping it's a true release this time. And a quality one.
Try it again as it took me to the Amazon site with the DVD preorder information.

I did. Same. But what's REALLY weird, is if I click in the copy of the link in my post, it takes me to the Amazon page. I go back and click on the original link and I get the eBay page. I'm sure it's some strange browser/cookie thing, but certainly odd.

UPDATE: Okay, now it works. I'm sure you are all deeply relieved! LOL.
