Ah, I take it that this is the real thing & not the - made from a print job - that was released by Olive. The HD version that plays on UK TV looks superb (as did the DVD). I'll take it, & Paramount, while you're in the John Wayne mood, how about In Harm's Way as well?

I hope we get some confirmation prior to release that this is a different (and better) presentation.Speculation is one thing. Knowledge is another.I don't want to end up buying the same thing with just another label in the cover.

IN HARM'S WAY will come from Warner if they chose to release it in Blu. The films from the Wayne Estate were not a part of the Paramount/Warner deal while all the Paramount John Wayne titles were a part of the agreement. You can tell that by looking at the recently announced John Wayne Mega set from Warner's. I would love for Paramount to give us THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY in Blu next.

Would love to see The High and the Mighty on Blu. Would like, but not love, In Harm's Way. As for McLintock, don't care one way or the other; too many segments are just embarrassing to watch.

I second the vote for In Harm's Way. I watched it in "HD" the other night via Amazon Instant Video.....actually looked very good compared to my memories of previous SD viewings.

So nobody's gonna say anything about the typo in the header, huh?
As a fan of the movie I noticed it right away, but was too polite to say anything. (Actually 3 typos. Needs a capital L and should end in a k with an exclamation point!

Sign me up for In Harm's Way which I think is his best non-western film, and The High and The Mighty. I've never cared for McLintoch but it is great to see all John Wayne's films coming out on blu-ray. He is clearly still selling plenty of tickets!

I know, I know. I'm gonna use good judgement. I haven't lost my temper in forty years, but pilgrim you caused a lot of trouble this morning, might have got somebody killed... and somebody oughta belt you in the mouth. But I won't, I won't.... The *hell* I won't!

Pre-ordered. :)

It appears the release date has changed from 5/20 to 5/13. A week earlier than originally scheduled.

Looking forward to a comparison/analysis of this new release vs. the Olive Films release from last year.
