OVERLORD (Blu-ray edition)
Seamlessly interweaving archival war footage and a fictional narrative, this immersive account by Stuart Cooper of one twenty-year-old’s journey from basic training to the front lines of D-day brings to life all the terrors and isolation of war with jolting authenticity. Overlord, impressionistically shot by Stanley Kubrick’s longtime cinematographer John Alcott, is both a document of World War II and a dreamlike meditation on human smallness in a large, incomprehensible machine.

I do hope people take a chance on this - it's a great movie.  We'll be issuing the soundtrack concurrently with the Blu-ray.

I've never heard of this film, but it sounds very intriguing.

Who did the score?

Score is by Paul Glass.  We just announced the CD release at Kritzerland today.  It's actually three scores on two CDs for a one CD price - all three films represented were directed by Stuart Cooper - Overlord, The Disappearance (that one composed by Robert Farnon) and Hustle (also by Glass).

Who did the score?

I reviewed Criterion's DVD release of this film back in 2007. The review can be found here.
