Welcome home, Mike! When I saw the note about you having your lungs drained I realized that your situation was a lot more serious than my PE. It's always good to get discharged from the hospital.

Mike...I can't say it better than anyone else here.  I am absolutely thrilled to know you're starting to heal and you're back where you belong (both virtually and physically).  Don't jump back into all your responsibilities too quick...let everyone else take care of you for a little while longer.  :B)

I just posted this in my "I've Got a New Dog" thread.

After being away from home for more than a month I got to be reunited with my buddy Ike--who was probably quite confused as to where I was:

I cannot deny it..this was a long-awaited and emotional reunion.

those 4-legged buddies have a way of making things better.   I had an incident years back that put me in the hospital just for the day (but it was very uncomfortable).  When I got home to mine it was like magic.

As usual, I'm a few days late (and a few dollars short), but WELCOME HOME, MIKE!  I'm glad to see my Round-Up successor back at home and in-saddle, and doing well enough to post on HTF once again.  I'm VERY glad for you, buddy.  Keep getting better and better, okay?  <HUGZ!!!>

Like David, I'm late coming into this, I was following the other threads in my HTF control panel and hadn't actually checked the subforum to see if a new thread had been started. Welcome home Mike and I hope you continue to have a full and speedy recovery!

Fellow HTFers:

The last post in this thread was made in February.

Since then I have been recuperating from that big medical scare and have nearly returned to work full-time.

This week I was back in the hospital--but it was a positive experience.  That last visit left me with a colostomy.  My surgeons were able to reverse it this week.  This, while "elective," is still a major surgery (more GI issues were followed-up as well) so I was a week in the hospital and will now be several more weeks at home.  Boy, do I have a scar!  speechless-smiley-020.gif

But all went really well and I felt as if I owed an update to all of you folks. The perspective of the past several months has only deepened the significance of all the well-wishes and prayers that came my way via the members of the Home theater Forum.

This place truly is a community of people who come together via a common interest and then stay, debate, learn from each other, and have fun along the way.  I'm quite proud to say that I've been a member here since 2001 and that all you folks cared enough about me to actively participate in my recovery.

Love you all.

Mike, I've told you this before and I'll tell you again: most Saturday nights (my time), you're my Saturday night date. :D  I watch the clock and make sure to at least follow the new WRU thread before I go to bed/go out for the night so I'm assured of some good updates when I wake up. The place wasn't the same without you and I really appreciate everything you do for us. Stay healthy!!
