Just got a tweet from TVSODVD.com that the complete series is coming out!
I thought of you when I saw the tweet.....lolGary OS said:Wow! This is great news. My guess is that it will be missing a few songs here and there (I still just can't see them securing every single song), but I'll buy it regardless even if that makes me one of the bad guys that messes it up for everyone else because I refuse to wait for a truly "perfect" set.

Per request of TVSODVD.com I've edited your post as they don't want their entire article posted here.

..comparing to China Beach, they did have to leave out a few songs...I think it was something like 15 songs total that they couldn't clear, from a list of over 300 on a 4-season show (and if "15" is wrong then it's too high; maybe it was 10 or 12, I forget by a year later! ). So that's like 95% or more of all the songs were included on the DVDs for China Beach, and it was priced at $199.95 for 21 discs. If SV/TL can do that well with the music clearing and the pricing for Wonder Years (which will probably cost at least a bit more than China Beach since it was 6 seasons total, although S1 was 6 eps and S2 was 17 eps, compared to 22-24 eps each for S3 through S6, so the equivalent of five seasons in that respect), then we ought tol be in great shape!
Just to clarify things, Jimmy, can you tell me exactly what your prediction is here? Are you saying that you believe this upcoming Time/Life Wonder Years set will be released again somewhere down the line with even more music intact? Or are you claiming another WKRP release is upcoming and will have more music?jimmyjet said:and more than likely a second release with some more music rights obtained.
Seems like a logical assumption to me, Ray.JoeDoakes said:I wonder if Time Life is better situated to get music clearances at reasonable prices because of the amount of music they already license.
