Blu-rays released in France purchased from Amazon.fr have a history of having the subtitles "hardbuffed" there is no "OFF" switch. When you select the English track the French subtitles appear on the screen with no way to turn them off. Anyone have any suggestions around this problem? It has been reported the OPPO players allow you to re-position the subtitles so they can be moved off screen?

Yes, Oppo players will let you move subtitles up and down, so if the subs on these discs are low enough you could potentially move them off the screen.
