Nice to see its back in print. Are they keeping all the special features I hope?

It's been back in print in standard Blu packaging (with all the special features) for several months - I picked up my copy at Fry's for $7.99. Amazon currently has it for $10. If you don't need the Steelbook packaging you can save money AND get it now.

Three truths about movies, as noted by Roger Ebert:

* It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.

* No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough.

* No good movie is depressing, all bad movies are depressing.

So the "current" release is also a 2-disc set?

Yes. It is the same, original Paramount release, identical in every way, except for the addition of a new UPC sticker that mentions Warner Bros.

I saw this steelbook in Best Buy months ago so I guess it was a temporary exclusive to them.

I bought the Warner re-issue last year as a blind buy. Loved it, but I don't need a Steelbook. The minimalist original cover art is better.

"My opinion is that (a) anyone who actually works in a video store and does not understand letterboxing has given up on life, and (b) any customer who prefers to have the sides of a movie hacked off should not be licensed to operate a video player."-- Roger Ebert
