I recently watched Blazing Saddles with my 16 year old son, and the amount of political incorrectness on display is one of many reasons why I enjoy it. This a movie that couldn't get greenlit to today, based on its uses and subversion of racial epithets, not to mention similar conduct with respect to gay stereotypes. I may pick this up, as I've never bought the original disc, and only have the 40th Anniversary DVD.

"My opinion is that (a) anyone who actually works in a video store and does not understand letterboxing has given up on life, and (b) any customer who prefers to have the sides of a movie hacked off should not be licensed to operate a video player."-- Roger Ebert

You barely chuckled at Blazing Saddles? In other words, you don't have a sense of humor.

We all have different tastes - especially with comedy.

I see no reason to be insulting about it.

Not necessary to comment about another member's lacking a sense of humor.  Humor is subjective which is one of the things that makes the human race unique as we all have our differences.

Yes, humor is subjective. I find BS to be a f'ng funny movie. Just thinking of it can make me laugh. I still remember being on a first date and laughing out loud while thinking "can they say/do that?
But a family cat is not replaceable like a wornout coat or a set of tires. Each new kitten becomes its own cat, and none is repeated. I am four cats old, measuring out my life in friends that have succeeded but not replaced one another.--Irving Townsend
