My Small Home Theater Setup:

YAMAHA RX-V375BL with about 4 HDMI Inputs (cable, PS3, laptop..)

and using a HDMI Splitter output to

Projector - Optoma HD-20 (1080P) (25' HDMI Cable)

TV - LG LCD (6' HDMI Cable)

Issue:

  1. HDMI splitter is not sending picture to TV/Projector. Bought a new splitter still the same issue.
  2. Projector via 25' HDMI cable connected directly instead of splitter
  • works fine only at 720p and throws green background if 1080 when connected to cable box
  • but when connected to laptop directly both 720 and 1080 work fine at 60hz

Experts,

Does this sound like a problem with HDMI cables. (Cables not able to transmit full signal)

or with HDMI Splitters.

Any suggestions greatly appricated!!

Are your HDMI high speed?

Is the splitter 1.3 or 1.4? Is it powered/passive?
