The Spielberg I'm personally hoping for is Duel and hopefully, when they get around to it, they'll include both cuts.

Nalu (Irene Tsu): "If the Great Khan every heard your defiant words he would have your black skin torn away from its body!"

Yusef (Greg Morris): "I'm not concerned. The 'Great' Khan never listens to the people."

--A dramatic exchange from THE SWORD OF ALI BABA (1965) screenplay by Edmund L. Hartman and Oscar Brodney, story credited to Edmund L. Hartman, directed by Virgil W. Vogel.

I would like to see a good solid anamorphic widescreen bluray release of COLOSSUS THE FORBIN PROJECT (1970) replete with an oncamera interview and audio commentary "uniting" of director Joseph Sargent and star Eric Braeden.

I would further like to see a full restoration (if possible) of all four "intended" (and filmed) segments of the classic supernatural-premised dramatic anthology FLESH AND FANTASY (1943). I wonder if the original Robert Benchley-David Hoffman framing narratives were initially filmed to accomodate the four playlets!

and all six Maria Montez-Jon Hall 1940s technicolour epic costume adventures (ie. ARABIAN NIGHTS, ALI BABA AND THE FORTY THIEVES, COBRA WOMAN, WHITE SAVAGE, GYPSY WILDCAT and SUDAN) fully restored and digitally remastered (finally) made available on bluray in a (possible) omnibus multi-disc collection.

That will do it for now. One is certainly never wanting for good ideas. Get cracking Universal!

Ali Baba has been released by Eureka in the UK and it has a superb image quality. Cobra Woman has been released in Germany and it would be interesting to hear from anyone who has bought it.
Ali Baba is also region free. No extras sadly but it is region free.

From Universal on blu:
Always
Duel
Flower Drum Song
The Front Page (Lemmon/Matthau 1975 version)
MacArthur
Shenandoah
Sweet Charity

and I'd settle for a DVD of
What's So Bad About Feeling Good?

But this being Universal, I'm not holding my breath on any of them, save possibly for the two Spielbergs.

Universal has three titles I've owned in every video format (including Laserdisc), and would gladly buy yet again one last time:

[*]Fahrenheit 451
[*]Slaugherhouse Five
[*]The Hindenburg

Fahrenheit 451 & The Hindenburg I would gladly buy on Blu-ray as well. Hopefully, when they do release the latter, they can include the additional scenes from the TV version and the alternate color footage of the climax.
