Engagdet:

Korg...interested if "made". Not if "name license".

WiSa. When is this going to really mean anything? But hopefully it finally kills off the "craptastic" rear wireless fiasco.

WiSa is the "wireless home theater holy grail".

I've known about WiSa and it has been "promised ready for primetime" for two years now. The Sonos 5.1 "thing" uses Sonos' proprietary version.

WiSa will be universal. So a Yamaha with WiSa(no, there is no AVR with it as of this post) will communicate with a Polk powered speaker(and, here, no...as of this post there is no Polk with it either).

Gotcha. That might be a better topic in the receiver / speaker forum. We usually have 2-3 CES discussions going on, I try to catalog the big news in displays since I have been in the market for em, tho thankfully not this year. We're chronicalling the Steambox phenom in the vidya games forum for example. You are welcome to put general CES thoughts in this thread too of course, just others looking for news on those fronts won't necvessarily find em unless they click in here.Anywhooo, here's when to tune in for the big keynotes:http://www.theverge.com/2014/1/5/5277246/the-live-events-of-ces-heres-where-to-tune-in

So...3D sales are up 100%. Hmmm, at least they admitted the 100% is because you can't buy anything beyond basic...without it.

Wow, that was quite a breakdown by Michael Bay at the Samsung Keynote today.

Curious to see just how Panasonic thinks it's 4k units will be better picture than their discontinued plasma line.
