Well I've had my first going on three years. I actually just bought my fiance son an led 32 inch Samsung. We are watching a movie on it since other is out of commission. So gonna keep an eye out for the voice thing. Pic looks good so far. Which panny would u get? Doesn't have to be huge and under 800 please.

The Panny S60. The 42 is in your price range. The 50 might be as an open box.

Right under 4-ish?

You might try Sears.com.

They had a refurb LG 60" for $780 a while back. They also had an RCA 720P refurb for $240(I almost bought one)

I see you edited...

LG has had their 42"720P for $380 everywhere since November. In my area there are Alco stores. They have "stupid cheap" prices on their extended warranty. Their prices otherwise aren't bad.

42" 1080p will be under $800 by all three. It is the 50" that will be tough at $800.

It is possible they are all gone already. People started buying the S60, ST60, GT60 and VT60 in droves when Panny made the announcement.

Like has been alluded all over every single forum for AV equipment...

"A future without plasma and, if it happens, no OLED...means this is the last year of TVs worth buying."

IF OLED does die(hope not, CES '14 will be the litmus)...a future of nothing but LCD is shitty.

well crap. i did find this lg looks to be pretty good for what i need

http://www.bestbuy.c...=specifications

price on that is at 599 right now.

i hope they keep making oled and price comes down.

i will say this on the led it did look totally different than plasma. i didnt notice any voice problems but it was a cartoon movie we watched. pic is alot brighter thats for sure. but as far as quality looked about the same. i think the 32 may be 1080 and my plasma i still have is 720.

When the ATSC tuner(remember the "digital transition"?) debuted a decade ago...is when digital output arrived. As long as the TV has an ATSc tuner...it has a digital output(if it has one...lots of low-end TV do not have audio output).
