What are your favorite sayings for merchandise that actually mean something else...or are a clever way to mask your disdain for the particular product...

 

I'll start with two...

 

"That has ILS power"

 

Typically that one is directed to any "PMPO crap". HTiB especially. Means..."If it was hit by lightning"( ergo, "If Lightning Strikes")

 

"State of the art."

 

Means, "we have boxes of those in the back".

When I used to run some video rental shops my favorite was saying "Everyone who rents it loves it!" in answer to "Is it any good?" about every lousy generic movie in the 80s. 

 

Some of the more perceptive customers would overhear that and give me a smile.
