Not sure, but I thought release day prices for pre-orders were the only "guaranteed" prices? If you ordered yesterday, and that title is on a lightning deal/limited BF deal today, I don't think you'll get the lower price.

You were right, they couldn't refund the money. HOWEVER, without my asking, the CSR said she could issue a credit to my Amazon account. I was happy with that. Since I had to go to the trouble of calling them about this, she maid the credit for $10.

It took me about two minutes on the phone to accomplish this. Anybody else, it would have been a half hour or more and I may not have gotten the credit. That's one more 'atta boy' for Amazon.

This has happened before. When I bought my Samsung TV, it came with a $300 credit to my Amazon account. Within 7 days, the promotion had increased to $400. One brief call and I got another $100 credited to my account.
