How do I connect Sony Bravia to DAV-DZ660 Home Theatre

Best Answer iZ wonderboy , November 18 2013 - 12:17 PM

I'll try to buy a Optical Cable, because apparently the HDMI is only for the video, but not the sound.

Thanks for Help Sam!

Hello

I have a Sony Bravia Tv, Model no: KDL - 42W805A

and also have a home theatre      : DAV - DZ660

I only just bought the home theatre, and I have problems connection it to the TV, channel wise.

I use a HDMI cable to connect the two devices but there seem to come no sound out of the speakers once I change to the tv channels. And yes, I can hear it if I just change it over to the HDMI input.

If anyone could help me, that would be appreciated!

Toslink is like the optical cable? But I understood it as if I could just use the HDMI or the Optical Cable.

Does that 660 support ARC?

Besides, CEC(TO use the ARC) tends to make things work in stupid ways.
