iPad is a laptop replacement for me. I don't use a laptop professionally. At home my laptop is a full time desk computer now. I'm playing with Ruby programming for fun, and i need my laptop to do travel reports for work. Otherwise, the ipad is my main home computer.

I will try to place an order at midnight Thursday night and pick up at the store on Friday (California time). We'll see if this works out, hopefully the rush to buy one this year is not going to crash the Apple servers! My plan is a white one with 128 gb this time and the Smart case.

Was gonna go sit in line at Christiana but they didn't have the model I wanted via pickup at store, so I got worried they wouldnt have it for line sitters either. I'm headed up to see my family already so I changed the order to pickup in NJ, guess they will get my Tax up front.

Space grey, 128GB, Verizon, pickup today!

I ordered the white iPad Air 128g online for pick-up, along with the baby blue smart case. Received my iPad Air within 10 minutes at the store. I'm incredibly impressed with the lightness of the iPad Air, which makes my iPad 3 feel like a brick. It's so much faster, and the sound is much more fuller with the dual speakers. Best iPad I've owned so far!

Same, can't believe how easy iCloud restore went. Two minor hitches:It kept wanting to authenticate my old iTunes account name, the one prior to email being used, which has been dead for 2+ years.Second, some of my apps have been pulled, including Color, and would not download. Oh well.

Also, I checked out both black and product Red cases and covers in store and ultimately chose the polyvinyl black cover. Liked the grippy-ness. I'm not a fan of the move from quad to tri fold but the magnets are much improved.

Did you get all your apps' data from iCloud restore? A week on, I'm still confused about if I got my phone properly set for iCloud restore. And the loss of data from CarCare hurts. As an ipad3 owner, who loves its retina display and never notices any sluggishness, I'm intrigued by reports about how the 4 and now Air just trounce it. Will take a look next Apple Store visit.

My only glitch was getting my music library to download from iTunes Match. I waited about 10 minutes and nada (I have over 4,000 songs). Then, I made sure that automatic download was "on" and powered off my iPad Air, then turned it back on. iTunes Match started downloading, which didn't take very long.

Got my iPad Air last night with the personal pick-up set up. Hopefully I can set mine up tonight.

After tinkering around with my store's demo (Sprint) on Friday, I HIGHLY considering replacing my older (and heavier) iPad 2 64GB.

Only question I have for you fine folks is... I have a 64GB and RARELY (if ever) found myself filling the device. In fact, the device only ever reached max capacity when I used iTunes Match (I have sense switched to Spotify.)

Would you recommend a similar sized device?
