Uploading Images... (1 Viewer)

It appears as if there has been a change in image uploading tonight.

Earlier today, I uploaded an image to the forum from my HDD.

But when I click on the image icon tonight, I only get the option to include a URL. That's all.

The editor on this platform is complete shit.

(Excuse my language)

I often have random problems with it. We won't see any major improvements
until (most likely) January.

One thing I have noticed...and I am not certain if this is going to help...

If you are uploading more images into a post that has already been posted...

You need to switch to FULL EDITOR to be able to upload those images from your desktop.

Not certain if that is your particular situation or not.

Nah. Just uploading into an original post, this is what i (and other members) see:

(Only a field to enter a URL and now be able to enter a location from my PC)

Have you tried another browser?

I am using Chrome and have been uploading images for press releases with no problem.

This is concerning, however, because if it is a specific browser issue we need to report it to IPS.

Hmmmm. I couldn't sign onto the site using Chrome.

...or IE.

Both are telling me I am locked out of my account. Although I still seem to be able to post in my browser-of-choice: Firefox.

That's strange. I'm relatively sure I was using my correct UserName and password.

There is other shit going on as I write this.

I post a message using Chrome, the browser refreshes and my message
does not show up. I have to refresh a second time to see it.

I will send a ticket to IPS on both issues

On the app, I haven't been able to edit a post in ages. Same time that happened the signature saying "sent via tap on my phone" doesn't show up.Using the app on my phone...and the Sig is set on.

Yesterday...no image uploading from the Image Icon on the Editor:



Today...we CAN upload images from our HDD via the Image Icon on the Editor:



What a difference a day makes.

Did gifs get banned from posting? It's telling me I can't embed them in img tags...

Maybe a preference reset, i'll check.

Dave: If you you look at many of Tony's images in this thread of his, you'll see what he's talking about.

Hmm. Hard to tell if they were originally right side up. Tony - any idea?
I'm trying to figure out how the heck the software would rotate them on us

Dave they are right side where they are located but when I upload them they become sideways.
