The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

If you're creative, that Barbie Chelsea doll at Target looks a little like the doll in the Conjuring poster...

Looks like there are a bunch of JFK discs being released near this time.  Next month boxed sets from PBS and from the Smithsonian are being released.  Earlier this month Topics released a boxed set.

Oswald was a commie rat.  I was just considering the other day that he would have been likely to shoot Nixon if Nixon had won the election in 1960, as both JFK and Nixon were strong anti-communists.  We would have had Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., as President in this alternate history, as opposed to Lodge being ambassador to South Vietnam during the 1960s.

I'll be a cheapskate and wait a couple weeks to pick up The Uninvited during the next Barnes And Noble sale.

The Conjuring and The Way, Way Back were both good and well worth a rental.

Thanks for the Roundup.  $21.99 is a bit much for The Way, Way Back, so I'll wait for a price dorp to get it, but I'm very excited to get Before Midnight this week.

Necessary Evil and The Way Way Back are in the Netflix queue.  Otherwise, nothing is really standing out at me.  Then again, I said the same thing last week and ended up with seven new movies and a camera, so go figure.  :)

Finishing up the Criterion five-film box set of Cassavetes movies (review should be up in the next couple of hours). My week's assignments The Way Way Back and The Internship haven't arrived yet for me to review (and I'm still waiting for last week's The Heat to arrive. Maybe tomorrow).

Thanks for the RoundUp.

I see The Conjuring review is now up, too. Can't wait to play it in surround sound with all the lights off.

I 'have" that one already via netflix.

I'm not trying to shoot the messenger, but it doesn't seems like much of a sale, its been around $10 for years.

Don't know if this is a company wide sale, but went to B&N (the Brick and Mortar, not online)  today and received 30% off every Blu ray I bought, even those not marked as 30% off.  Bought 13 Blu rays and after my additional 10% B&N membership discount, paid $105.00 plus tax.

Edited by Richard V, October 22 2013 - 12:38 PM.

See you at the pah-ty, Richter.
