Archer Season 5 (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately, we won't have more Archer until January. But FX has already put out a fake-trailer, and it's hilarious.

Wait...a Top Gun spoof, and no Gillette? I can only imagine how much he would've loved the beach-volleyball scene. Still, awesome trailer.

LOL'ed at seeing the Wee Baby Seamus™ in that one scene.

Last night, there was also a super-quick TV spot that played during It's Always Sunny and The League.

I will only spend time with two types of people. Those who recognize that Archer is fucking awesome, and those who have yet to see it.

Anyone else, and I can't be bothered.

I think the show is funnier than many of the shows that were Emmy nominated for Best Comedy Series this past year.

Very few shows have made me laugh like Archer. Not every episode is a home run, but there are very few clunkers.. and some are fantastic. I have always believed if I could make a person watch Skytanic they would either fall in love with the series or probably not relate to me

Just came across some brand-new info about this coming season.

From what I've read...

Creators/Executive Producers Adam Reed and Matt Thompson are calling this season "Archer Vice."

Sounds amazing. Cannot wait 'til Monday.

Yep. They just did an AMA about it, and I was dying reading along. It's a bold move to totally mix everything up, and I am definitely looking forward to it.

I'm not sure how I feel about the new direction, but this show has never let me down so I'll be there with bells on tonight!

I had heard that there was sort of going to be a reboot, but had no idea the direction they'd be going in. For something that already was getting a little stale, a giant shakeup like this is just awesome and makes things so much more interesting again.

Loved the part where they were just basically recounting past misdeeds too, because when you string it all together like that it just sounds absolutely insane.

Yes, the recaps by the various characters were hilarious. Fun if busy start to the season.

"How hard can it be? I mean...Mexicans do it."

Yeah, it was mostly setup. But by God, it was still a more consistently funny half-hour than just about any other show out there.

The bit about the FBI still not getting around to putting FBI in the front of their uniforms slayed me, as well as the whole confessions-sequence (Lana's rejection of Archer's offer was amazingly well done)...and finally, Krieger gets added to the main credits!

And that montage looked amazing, specially them showing the chaos that having Pam and Carol joining the action will produce.

Speaking of Krieger, I hope we haven't seen the last of his animé/hologram wife, as every time she pops up, it's amazing (her reading a gay hentai/tentacle-smut mag was hilarious).

I laughed quite a bit, especially at the FBI interviews

Hmmmm...I thought the premiere was funnier than last night. Just not that much to laugh at in this one. That's pretty rare for this show.

It's just resetting the entire setup that means there is a lot more dialog. That said, the argument over the pot made me laugh

I don't like it when I'm a step ahead of the writers. No surprises for me which, for this show, really aids in the comedy.

Yeah...I mean, coked up, sexing up Archer, masturbating in front of everyone, eating everything in sight, slamming a burrito into her crotch "uhn, uhn, uhn", or video taping pirate hentai on an unconscious cast...it always comes back to Pam. She is pure gold.

Lots of funny stuff this week. The running gags with Woodhouse crack me up every time.
