“A great film.”--Krista Smith, Vanity Fair

Thought-Provoking Film Will Be Available December 10, 2013

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.  –  The compelling and provocative drama ADORE makes its Blu-ray, DVD and Digital debut on December 10, 2013 from Paramount Home Media Distribution.  Starring Naomi Watts (The Impossible, Eastern Promises) in “a brave and vulnerable performance” and Robin Wright (Moneyball, “House of Cards”) delivering “a career-high acting master class” (Damon Wise, The Guardian), the film marks the English-language directorial debut of Anne Fontaine (Coco Before Chanel). Written for the screen by Academy Award®-winner Christopher Hampton
(Best Adapted Screenplay, Dangerous Liaisons, 1988), ADORE is based on a novel by Nobel Prize for Literature winner Doris Lessing.

Set in an Australian seaside town of otherworldly beauty, ADORE follows two women’s plunge into uncharted waters as they explore the intricacies of love, family, morality and passion.  Watts and Wright deliver riveting performances as two life-long friends who become romantically involved with each other’s sons.  The film also stars Xavier Samuel (The Twilight Saga: EclipseThe Loved Ones) and James Frecheville (Animal Kingdom).

The ADORE Blu-ray is presented in 1080p high definition with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and English, English SDH and Spanish subtitles.  The DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 TVs with English 5.1 Dolby Digital and English and Spanish subtitles.
