CULVER CITY, CALIF. (Sept. 30, 2013) – Easy A meets Superbad in the raunchy and irreverent comedy THE TO DO LIST, available Nov. 19th on Blu-ray, DVD and digital from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film is written and directed by Funny or Die veteran Maggie Carey and features an ensemble cast, including Aubrey Plaza (Safety Not Guaranteed, TV’s “Parks and Recreation”), Johnny Simmons (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Bill Hader (TV’s “SNL”), Alia Shawkat (TV’s “Arrested Development”), Scott Porter (TV’s “The Good Wife”), Rachel Bilson (TV’s “Hart of Dixie”), ChristopherMintz-Plasse (Kick Ass 2), Andy Samberg (Grown Ups 2), Donald Glover (TV’s “Community”), Connie Britton (TV’s “Nashville”) and Clark Gregg (The AvengersIron Man). In this all-star film, Type A overachiever (Plaza) comes up with a “to do list,” featuring all the risqué extra-curricular activities she missed out on in high school and wants to complete before starting college. Hilarious bonus features on both the Blu-ray and DVD include deleted scenes, commentary, a gag reel, a.k.a. “The Re-do List,” as well as two featurettes. The “Maggie Carey: Directing her To-Do List” featurette highlights the director’s personal connection to the film and the comedic talent starring in it, and the “Dirty Mouth” featurette is a big, raunchy montage of some of the film’s key moments.

Synopsis

Class of ‘93 valedictorian Brandy Klark (Aubrey Plaza) wants to get “educated” before she goes off to college, so she assembles a “to do list” of all the sexual activities she missed out on in high school. Quickly realizing that she’s way out of her league, Brandy solicits her best friends, older sister (Rachel Bilson) and burnt-out boss (Bill Hader) for their help and advice. As Brandy crams for her sexual finals, a supporting cast of horny misfits— an orally-challenged classmate (Donald Glover), a grunge-singing doofus (Andy Samberg) — eagerly offer their assistance and shocking mayhem ensues…

Written and Directed by Maggie Carey, THE TO DO LIST was produced by Jennifer Todd, Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett. The executive producers are Mark Gordon, Maggie Carey, Bill Hader, Tracy McGrath, Greg Walter and Tom Lassally.

Blu-ray and DVD Bonus Features:

§ Two featurettes:

o  “Maggie Carey: Directing her To-Do List” – Highlighting the vast comedic talent in the film

o  “Dirty Mouth” – An over-the-top featurette highlighting every naughty word or phrase uttered in the film in one big raunchy montage

§ Deleted Scenes

§ Commentary with Director Maggie Carey and Bill Hader

§ The Re-do List (gag-reel)

THE TO DO LIST has a running time of approximately 104 minutes and is rated R for pervasive strong crude and sexual content including graphic dialogue, drug and alcohol use, and language - all involving teens.

This movie is a blast.

It sure is, but that artwork is horrible though. Still, this is one I would buy. Artwork has never dissuaded me from purchasing, and that won't start now.

I enjoyed this movie quite a bit too.

And it might show that I'm immature but the "She's going from straight A's to getting her first F" tagline makes me laugh.

I missed it on the theater, but I love Plaza so I'll buy this for sure.
