right now, i have a sony bravia 46" LCD, and was thinking of trying to get something a little bigger, maybe 51-55". This time, after doing some reading, im likely going to go plasma, due to not having to deal with motion blur, better contrast ratios etc...
Samsung has one, 51" plasma, 1080p 600hz for about $649 at best buy. This is kind of my budget, roughly $600 to $700. While there, i looked over and saw the projectors, and that got me to thinking...i wonder if i would get more for that money with a projector. Most projectors can go up to pretty big sizes, more that what i would need, and they also say they can display a 1080p picture.
It's been a long time since ive seen a projector picture, if i have ever seen one at all. How do they look? are the images as crips and clear as a HD tv? is the color depth and the motion blur as good as a plasma or LED?
can anyone recommend if this is a better way to go and if it is, can you recommend a halfway decent projector (one as good as a TV you can buy from Best buy at least) for the $600 to $700 im looking for?
how well do projectors perform in areas where sunlight may shine through a window? in my living room, there are double doors that lead to a patio, i have the blinds closed, so a little light may seep through during the day, but most of my TV watching would be in the evenings or at night.
