The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Homeland and Star Trek Into Darkness from Target for me. I'm on the fence about Jesus Christ Superstar Live Arena Tour. I have the UK release, but it will only play in my Oppo because it is 1080i/50.

Not a thing this week. Not with the cuts to Mama's Family TimeLife couldn't be bothered to tell anyone about until they were called out. And not with the VAM circus that is Star Trek Into Darkness. Besides, as a lifelong Trekkie, I didn't think STID was worth all the praise some people gave it. Crap movie with has a deservedly crap presentation on disc. Shameless cash grab by Bad Robot and Paramount. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

I think there is a mistake about Drums Along The Mohawk.

You have it correct in the title grid that it is a Twilight Time release, but you also have a price listing for $19.99 from Best Buy.

I'll be picking up the Friday The 13th set this week.

Star Trek was my favorite summer movie this year but if they can't be bothered to put the commentary on a disc, I can wait for a sale (which really won't be hard since it'll be on sale before the holidays). Like every other year, I'll wait for the inevitable sale on Supernatural to get that as well. You can call me cheap but I am spending $100 on Friday The 13th movies this week so I need to save somewhere.

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

Thanks, Mike! The Target exclusive STID 3D for me this week. BTW, there is a Cartwheel 10% off code available for this title, too. Down the road, I'll pick up Blu-rays of the Big Bang Theory, La Cage aux Folles, and The Fly, but I'm definitely waiting for much better prices on those.

I'll be skipping STID due to the extras issue. Get with the program Paramount/Bad Robot.

Are there any reputable reviews of the Marathon Man transfer out there? I'd love to pick it up but not until some info regarding AV comes to light.

Shame on Paramount for splitting all the Star Trek extras up like this and punishing fans -- especially since Abrams' first movie had a really loaded special edition, it's disappointing that this one (which I thought was better) is not following suit -- but I still want the movie. Best Buy's exclusive being regulated to a CinemaNow digital makes the choice between exclusives easy: Target, because a physical disc always beats streaming, which may or may not remain available. It should be noted that Wal-Mart is also in the exclusive derby here with a steelbook, though the actual content on the discs seems to be identical to the general release version.

The million dollar question: If the commentary track is an iTunes exclusive, will it come with iTunes digital copy redemptions included with the Blu-ray? I almost never use my digital copies but I might have to do that this time if that is the case...

Fixed.

AND...I forgot to note that anyone who might want to order the Twilight Time titles can do so HERE.

Thanks, David.

According to posts over in the Blu-ray section, the commentary is available via the digital copy.

I've seen this expression regarding Target a lot recently. What's a "cartwheel discount?"

I want me one!

I've got a Target credit card...so I'm good for the 5% off...but I want MORE!!!

Great apologies to Matt H. and the entire review team here at the HTF.

I think this is the 2nd or 3rd week in a row that I have forgotten to include the links to the reviews of this week's new releases in the OP.

Here are the links to the reviews of this week's new releases:

La Cage Aux Folles

The Spy Who Came in from the Cold

Star Trek: Into Darkness (3-D)

Castle: Season 5

I would LOVE to be able to go in and edit the OP to include those links...but I can't figure out how. :(
Thanks, Mike. I just assumed that some kind of code problems were preventing the links. That's why I haven't been adding them in a post. Appreciate the links always no matter where they appear!

Well, more like a combination of me forgetting in my haste to post the WRU the past few weeks (just running behind my normal schedule!) AND then not having the ability to add the links to the text without being an HTML wiz. :(

Matt: Please feel free to nudge me with your own posts about the links anytime something is missing. :thumbs-up-smiley:
