Plumbing issue (1 Viewer)

so our toilet is at the point of overflowing, my girlfriend flushed it to many times and its basically a toilet of brown and cannot see the bottom at all, tried using a plunger but water has not gone down and remains at almost the top of the bowl, any other way to get in unclogged?? much help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Probably one of two conditions is causing your toilet problems -

A) A clogged toilet. Since plunging hasn't addressed the issue you need to use a closet auger. Most home improvement centers sell them and YouTube has instruction videos on their usage.

B) You have a blocked toilet vent pipe. This is a vertical vent line that permits air to enter the sewer line. If this is blocked the act of flushing the toilet causes a vacuum that can contribute to clogging the toilet.

If you aren't comfortable proceeding, then you probably will need to call a plumbing service. Best of luck.
