Looks like we will have another gathering this Saturday since Ace Calibration expert Gregg Loewen will be in town!

To keep things simple we'll keep the place the same.

The time will be Saturday October 19 at 5pm for an early dinner, Fuddruckers on San Fernando in Downtown Burbank. Go to the full post

Well I guess this MIGHT be an appropriate place to figure out a plan for how to do this?

I'm thinking sometime in September might be good to give everyone ample time to block the date aside?

Labor Day Weekend is Cinecon and September 6-15 is the 3-D Expo at the Egyptian.  Perhaps the weekend of September 21th or September 28th may be best.

Let's call it the 28th then - Thinking of ease of parking for people driving in, maybe something in The Valley/Burbank area? I think that's reasonably easy to get to from anywhere with the 5/134 convergence...

September 28th works for me.  And I can recommend a few places in Burbank/Toluca Lake.

I'll be coming from Orange County and hope I do have to go to the valley, where there's ample parking and manageable traffic.  And, as Moe says, the Fry's on Hollywood Way is beckoning!

Depending on how many people we expect we might even find a place that can set up a little room for us and a table, though I tend to think we should start out sort of informal like and then if it goes well we can go bigger with the planning.

Anyone care if we push back a week to October 5?

Are we looking at Saturday or Sunday?  Either day is okay with me, but I just want to confirm as that weekend is the Hollywood Collector Show at the Airport Westin, and Shirley Eaton will be there, and she is the last missing Bond girl I need to autograph my Bond 50 set (excluding Honor Blackman and Dame Diana Rigg, who I know I'll never get.)  I just want to coordinate with my friend which day I'll be going to the Show.  Thanks.

I am good either day, is the Sunday or Saturday better for people?

I'm good either day as well.

Ok then I'll make a decision

October 6, 1pm

That will give us time to miss the bulk of a lunch rush at a restaurant and still have some time to go check out Frys after if anyone wants to. I'll propose Fuddrucker's in Burbank, it's reasonably priced, varied menu and there's decent parking for free nearby. Burbank is also easy to get to for our friends coming from Orange County up the 5
