Shouldn't the decision to skip the mobile skin and stick with the full forum experience be sticky?  Both my phone and iPad revert to mobile skin every few days...

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Weird.  Maybe it's cause I use [RED] on the phone....  When that gets broader use maybe this bug will hit more users.

Sam,

Not sure what's causing that. It should be a cookie. Are you wiping your cookies?

I can now say publicly that the forum is not respecting this choice on iPhone 5 running ios 7. It has to reset every few hours.

I guess I could look for another thread or open a new one, but this one's active, so just in case this is of any help...

HTF is running slower than molasses today.  I'm on my hard wired ethernet connection using Chrome on Windows 7, and every one of the 15 or 20 other sites I've been checking today is speed as usual.  Here, I'm waiting 30 seconds and longer for each page to load.  This has been the case for the past few hours.

I believe he was just talking about on iOS 7, so if it's an app he's using then the app needs to be fixed, not your guys' site, but if it's through mobile safari then it's possibly something to look into as you're going to have a lot of iOS 7 visits in the near future

I did reach out to IPS about this. According to them, this is an issue with Safari/Apple and not our software. We currently have a cookie that times out after a few days, if it's a shorter period than that it is out of our control.

Yep, mobile safari. Not a fan of Tapatalk or the mobile skin, I use the full site on both iPhone and iPad.

The skin was never meant to be accessible. Sorry Moe. We're planning to eventually offer a premium membership with access to an enhanced skin with no ads and responsive scaling. That's coming next year when the new version of this platform launches.

Ahh that was what we were told to switch to by the mods before. The HTF skin is unusable on iPad and the mobile is not something I like either.

I'm sorry for the trouble - I know that the fixed sidebar can eat up screen real estate. We'll see what we can do to alleviate this for you, but I can't make any promises!

Appreciate it. I don't mind the ads but I'd pay to get the width back on a small screen

Even the top toolbar has too many items even with no ads there. Things go into 2-3-4 rows that weren't meant to
