I have pre-order harbor command as i am big fan of anything to do with the coast guard. I was not born when the show came out, but the show looks interesting. I welcome thoughts and suggestions about this show.

I have a few episodes, haven't watched them in a long time, but from what I remember, it is more of a detective show, where the detectives' beat is the waterfront.  I don't really remember the Coast Guard being a part of it, but perhaps it's just been too long since I've seen the show.

See you at the pah-ty, Richter.

I've never watched it but it does look it would be worth a blind buy.

Edited to add: At $26.94, this looks like I'll add this to the collection in September when my Pell refund comes in!!!

Silverking is right, it's not a show about the Coast Guard, though I believe they turn up from time to time. It's about what I guess is a real or used to be a real law enforcement agency that strictly policed harbors. So they deal a lot with smugglers and theft and other crimes that are perpetrated near the harbor.

I saw about 15 episodes a few years ago and loved it. It has that attractive ZIV vibe of using real locations, unique settings, excellent actors, taut writing and interestng stories. Like some ZIV shows, it can be rather light on characterizations, but everything else is so compeling, you hardly even notice that.

I've spent the past week or so working through this excellent release from Timeless. Beautiful crisp black-and-white photography and fantastic location shots of the San Francisco area. I wish other ZIV shows like BOSTON BLACKIE and I LED THREE LIVES were available with this quality.

I've never seen this show but was intrigued by it when I was looking up classic shows and their availability on DVD. Now you guys are making me want to see it.

I really like this show!! It is very intense due to time of the episodes only being 25 minutes.

It is another very good ZIV show. Wish we would hear that more ZIV shows were in the pipeline.

Didn't ZIV have another similar show called Harbormaster? Like every one else here I wish  all ZIV shows would get a release!

I read about this series, it had "Harbourmaster" for its first half of the 1957-58 season on CBS, then moved to ABC, where it was retitled "Adventure at Scott Island", then it was cancelled after a total of 26 episodes.

Back in the "old days"  (2-3 years ago!) this would have been a natural 4 disc set for Timeless!
