We lost Dennis Farina.   He passed away in Arizona, either yesterday or this morning.  He was 69.

I will remember him for a variety of roles.

I very much enjoyed him as Jimmy Serrano in Midnight Run.  I think it's possible that he had the funniest lines in the movie.

But my favorite performance of his would be as Mike Torello on the first season of Crime Story in 1986-87.   His performance was that of a bull in a China shop.

The role that sticks out in my mind is his role as Karen Sisco's father in Out of Sight. The cause of death was a blood clot in his lung. Just shows that you never know; we can all be here one day and gone the next. RIP.

Also excellent in Snatch. He will be missed.
It's gonna be a hell of a ride. I'm ready. .

I had the pleasure of working with Dennis Farina on HILLSIDE STRANGLERS a few years back.  He was a gentleman.  Real pro.  Always on time, always knew his lines, wasn't a "Star" by any means, and was fun to work with.  I wish more were like him.
