OCTOBER 8, 2013

DVD Features All 24 Season Three Episodes and Never-Before-Seen Bonus Material

Including Unaired Scenes and a Gag Reel

BURBANK, CA (June 26, 2013) – The quirky misadventures of one of the Heartland’s most hilarious families, the Hecks, are captured on Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s (WBHE) release of The Middle: The Complete Third Season, available on October 8, 2013. Family dynamics have never been funnier! This three-disc collection features 24 hilarious half-hour episodes plus bonus features including a laugh-out-loud gag reel and deleted scenes.  The Middle: The Complete Third Season will retail for $44.98 SRP.

In Season Three of The Middle, the Hecks continue to tackle all the craziness of everyday life from new boyfriends and failed cheerleader tryouts to school projects and…night-vision goggles?  The kids create situations, Mike (Neil Flynn, Scrubs) makes them worse, and Frankie (Patricia Heaton, Everybody Loves Raymond) does her best to keep everybody functioning as a family.  Prom, Thanksgiving, and even an unexpected wedding all set the stage for the third season of this uniquely hilarious program.

The Middle captures the essence of the family experience in a very authentic way. All of us can relate to the Hecks in some way, whether you are raising kids now or remember your own experiences growing up,” said Rosemary Markson, WBHE Senior Vice President, TV and Special Interest Marketing.  She added, “The Middle is a heartfelt, honest and hilarious look into the complexity of family dynamics. We’re delighted to offer fans the third season of this wonderful show on DVD.”

A consistent hit with television viewers, The Middle is one of the lead-ins to ABC’s Comedy Wednesday block.  The show’s third season averaged 9.8 million viewers, a 5 percent increase over the second season average*. The popular series will be launched into syndication later this year when it premieres on ABC Family in Fall 2013 and the Hallmark Channel in March 2014.

Starring two-time Emmy® winner Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond), Neil Flynn (Scrubs), Charlie McDermott (The Office), Eden Sher (Weeds) and Atticus Schaffer (Hancock), The Middle  was created and executive produced by Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline (Roseanne, Murphy Brown, How I Met Your Mother).  The Middle is produced by Blackie and Blondie Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
